nothing matters but the soft beating of your heart
your sleek limb draped carelessly over mine

When the whippoorwill cries out for it’s mate
and the night air is thick with damp desire
your caress , your sigh, delivers my soul
from a place no one should ever see

Your sweet tender kiss takes my breath away
and then the words won’t come
there is nothing that I can say to you
but “I love you”, echos in the canyons of my heart

And you hear, you smile, you close your eyes.
