ALIVE The wind roaring and biting is a perverse kind of pleasure Out here on the moor as i walk through the heather Her assertive spirit whips my breath away And i laugh at her in a mocking way I am truly alive on days like these Not for me a soft summer breeze Wilderness beckons like a sister calling Alone and free on a cold winter morning Feet dipped in purple i stand on this moor At last i am home in this moment so pure Liberty washes clean my soul And i am at peace and my being is whole |

Nice lively poem. To each his own. I'll take the warm breeze. I enjoyed it though. Love, Joyce |

June, this is spectacular. I read it and then went back to highlight a stanza or a sentence and it was all so beautiful, I couldn't seperate one line from another. How I hope one day l to walk the moors and see the lavender. My ancestry is English and Scot and I want so much to be able to visit my homeland. Hugs ... Marti Hear Blessings dropping their blossoms all around you. |

june: I loved this poem. Could almost see you walking through the heather. It sounds like wonderful country to live in! Betty Lou Hebert |
