This is the 11th piece in the Wildflower series
____________________________________________________

How many meadows must be searched
to find the one the heart desires
that special one without compare
hidden in this maze of shires

The daffodil stands proud and tall
and beckons with a golden smile
swaying gently in morning breeze
tempting with coquettish gile

The rose blood red and damp with dew
its crimson petals sleekly dressed
whispers with sweet siren’s song
that she surpasses all the rest

The morning glory shy at dawn
grows bolder with the rising sun
laughing with a knowing wink
declaring loudly I am the one

All of these lovely blooms and more
vie briskly for the suitor’s eye
but one it seems is hidden well
grandly attired but much too shy

Precious wildflower the time is now
reveal yourself that all may see
that no other beauty can compare
forever yours I want to be

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

pegasus111:  This is utterly charming! Living in the country, as I do, the wildflowers are rampant and so beautiful.

This was beautiful. You sure know how to melt a girls heart. Wow...that one that shows herself to you will be a lucky one. Makes a girl feel pretty to read words like this from a gentle man, and a gentle soul.
Very nice. It's times like this that reminds me, all the more, why I like being woman!!
Just lovely!!!

p.s. I wish I knew how to add this to library. I did that before, but I can't find how to add to library again?

Of sound, and speech let all lift the hearer!

Wildflowers are just another testament to Mother Nature’s sheer beauty, in it’s purest form...

Extremely well penned!
Nice to meet you Pegasus111.
