Mama You know living it up Alone with your mama Makes a kid like me Appreciate I celebrate All the wonders my mama has Bestowed upon me Love and electricity Compassion and clothing Most importantly I cannot dismiss my lil sis Watching your mama night and day Day and night Coming home all worn Just so I could sleep All warm in the sheets that smelt Like her sweetness... Oh how I adorn her Above all people Nothing in life could prove an equal. So to this day I close my eyes And never deny the lord My appreciation for her Creation A satisfied soul I rest my case I rest my head and let her Scent take me to bed |

“Love and electricity Compassion and clothing” What a sweet and innocent way of appreciating your Mama. Reminds me of my dear mom, after my dad passed when I was five. Working all day, only to come home to tend to the needs of her six kids. I never knew how “tired and worn” she was until I got older. Because, she never really showed it. Probably because, she didn’t have time to. Bless the mother’s of the world. There can never be enough admiration, respect and gratitude expressed about them. And bless you too Ed. Your a good son!
