The oak tree silhouetted Against the sky, in branches bare, Has the stark and simple beauty Of my old Daddy in his underwear. The artist's eye finds beauty In the plain and common place. While the lover looks for loveliness In his dear one's sweet face. A child may think his mother The fairest of the fair. She looks at his countenance And sees perfection there. We each observe in our own way The world in which we share. If we truly seek for beauty We can find it anywhere. By Joyce 7/22/01 |

I agree. It's all in the way one looks at things. Nicely penned. Melton |
