Summer Nostalgia

ZtheMeow gets her
“Power Superdudes” card suit out,
Ready to play under the sun,
With JaytheBird and SmartDog.
SmartDog reminds ZtheMeow
About her goal of writing a poem a day.

ZtheMeow sighs and says,
"My English is still very poor.
I’ve just been rejected by some editors."

JaytheBird hums along with the breeze,
"Never say never, never give up,
For tomorrow is another dawn;
Another sun will pass the mount.
Another breeze, with another walk in the garden, our home,
All are observed in Heavenly Father’s eyes,
Where peace lays in our mind."

Smart Dog sighs,
"Yet another storm will blow our flowers;
Another human foot will step on them.
Still we need to be strong,
Believing love is brighter than foes,
For only that can keep us sane.
Beautiful observance of another day,
From sunset to sun down."

ZtheMeow echoes,
"And here we are playing like nothing else matter.
But who knows, someday sun may blind us,
And we will no longer see each other."

JaytheBird answers,
"And if the sun is too bright,
Memories and hugs keep us alive.
Forever this song is alive,
Our friendship will never change.
Though darkness may keep us apart,
We will always be linked in our heart,
Be it in Heaven, or on the Earth."
