Teardrop hands
gently tap against
my window

Yearning for shelter
from the dry pinch
of fiery fingers

Such an oddity –
Cool rain
  falling from
    sunstruck skies.

Through the pane,
whispers –

Without
tears,

we forgo
rainbows.

Passing Shadows, this sun shower was the first I've seen this year, so I figured I'd capture it in a poem. Also, I'm trying to summon my muse, so I thought it might help, hee hee
