(AN: A continuation of the sereis of poems I've written since To My Lili Marlene. I swear to you, the friendship I have with this girl is to valuable to risk losing in my book. Richard Marx's Right Here Waiting inspired this work.)

Waiting Here

How long will I stand waiting here?
Forever, I suppose, and I fear.
I'll stand right here waiting for you.
Should your man's love be untrue.

I should have acted quicker.
But if went awry I didn't want us to bicker.
The loss of the friendship would cause much harm.
As much as seeing you two arm in arm.

I only wish that was me at your side.
As we walk along the night tide.
I'll wait for you, as long as I can.
I'll be there, if you're deserted by the man.

It seems not very likely to occur.
I feel I've been struck by a spur.
I'll wait right here for you.
Through much pain, true.

You really have much value in my heart.
Which is why I'm emotionally pulled apart.
When I'm graced with a dazzling smile.
I could run many a mile.

That feeling is worth all the pain.
A deepening of friendship, is all I hope to gain.
I'll wait for love, as long as it takes.
No matter how badly my heart breaks.

If not from you, then from someone new.
Though special shall be associated with you.
You're always someone special to me.
I hope one day you will see.

No matter how long it takes.
Or how badly my heart breaks.
I'll wait right here for you.
And I can only promise you a love true.

All of your poems are so sweet, and sad. Heart-breaking to see the emotions that bring sadness, yet you weather it so well. A beautiful heart you possess.
