a moment of silence
for the dead birdie lying by the roadside
how is it my heart goes out to it
when so many others don't care

an emotive moment
an old lady hobbles by
i wonder
why she's left filthy and alone

God has his reasons for making things happen
all the things that i see he teaches me to feel

A spectacular write, Michelle that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. It is sad that we must see such pain and suffering. I pray God will watch over those less fortunate.
