I try not to let my thoughts wander Counting blessings in preference to ponder See the hurts of the world cut too deep Engulfed in sadness i cannot sleep So many kinds of sorrow With little hope for tomorrow Those who are hungry People in pain The homeless are out in the cold again I offer inadequate prayers That less suffering will be theirs But this world simply hurts too much So my nights will be tainted as such please excuse the sadness of this. i have been suffering depression lately and it helps to put these feelings into words. hugs from june x |

From your pen, I know you have compassion. And depression is but an emotion, A state of mind where I have been. Scared not to express yourself, Dare to be vulnerable, for For that's the only way to heal. As for me, nothing worth more than honesty. Be honest with your own feeling, For you own them and no one else. I once heard one needs to keep in touch With ones feeling to know oneself. June, this really touched me. I have suffered depresion in my life and it is very hard to deal with. I hope that yours gets better. My prayers and thoughts will be with you.  Hugs to you from me  Ethel |

Dear June; I too have known these sad times...some how they always pass...so cling to this hope and my prayers are with you too. Ellie ( somewhere on page 2 or 3 is a poem I wrote called "The Way of Truth" please read ir cause it's about what you are feeling ...and may help.) A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

Dear Ethel, i am sad that you have to suffer from this too. I hope that you dont suffer it often now. thank you for your words. they are a comfort to me. Dear Betty, you are right. I have found a warm and caring family of friends in this little corner and i am afraid you are now stuck with me lol. You are all such wonderful people and i feel able to express my emotions with you here. thanks for your good wishes too, i am starting to recover again now. Passing Shadows, I truly hope you are not often plagued by depression as it is so awful. I feel it helps though to write and hope that it helps you too. thank you for reading this one. Michelle I loved your verse and i also find solace in passions with friends like you. thank you so much. Marge , you care so much for people that it makes me cry.The things you say are always just so right. thank you for being there. Ellie, I read your poem again tonight after you mentioned it and it is just perfect. I hope one day i can write poetry like you. Thank you for sending me back to read it as once again it gave me much comfort and peace. i am going to keep it now and look at it whenever i freel low as it is so powerfully positive. thanks.
