Ribbons of Rain Ribbons of rain gently tickle my senses Inviting me to remember your gentle aura Brightening the day as you quietly enter Beginning of new dreams solving creation’s enigma Odyssey of life carrying us along path Nature’s way of repairing a broken landscape Sunshine breaking through clouds sparking beautiful rainbow Oasis from rain experienced through your touch Flowering visuals granting many eyes new stimuli Ribbons of rain softly invigorating my spirit A fresh outlook on new challenges to meet Icy days of winter leading into springtime Narrating stories of love with gentle hand. Marge, Thank you for your reply saying my poem was awesome. The poem started as a challenge from a friend and then as I was writing it realized that I was actually writing a double acrostic without knowing it at first. The last letters of every line spell out one of my best friend's names. Joyce, Yes, there are so many things about life that are very lovely. Rain bringing forward new growth and my friend being just two of them. Passing Shadows, This poem was indeed a delight to write as well. |
