[Poet's note: Before anyone has a vision & starts spreading rumors of me having severe marital problems and heading for an imminet divorce,let me just say that this piece was written in fun.]

LORD, you know how much I love her
But she's driving me insane,
She wasn't like this at all
Before she took my name!

She was the sweetest Angel
A Charmer to be sure,
But this once-sent Heavenly Beauty
Is getting hard to endure.

I wanted someone to love me
And to be my life's soul-mate,
Not a smother-mother figure
Who on my nerves would grate.

LORD, if indeed You sent her
To be my blessed wife,
Could You make some alterations
And free me from so much strife?

Help her see her faulty view
That she is always right,
Give her patience to hear me out,
Before she picks a fight!

She's always trying to change me
And messing with my head,
Oh LORD, I need a favor
Would you just change her instead?

She thinks I'm made of money
So she spends it all with ease,
LORD, can't You just show her
This stuff don't grow on trees!

Her "Honey-Do's" are killing me
She thinks that I'm a pack mule.
She probably thinks it's funny
To me it just seems cruel.

I promised to love her for all time
Don't make me break that pact,
Just give me back the one I wed
I want my Angel Back!
