its funny how the land lay dry

for so long sat under harsh cold sky

like a desert caused by A-bombs come last spring

now I'm a man of mind and soul

a man of heart oft times quite bold

and still for ages here

silent I have been

what brings me back again you ask?

an angel from my ethered past found me

where I was alone and cold

she smiled...just like before

and so I love her all the more

and found my way back to this lovely inn

I plan on earning all my keep

and promise to scribe most days of week

to offer comfort thoughts and love

bout earth below and sky above

to give as I am give and more

who knows the surprises yet in store

for gentle souls both kind and wise

who well wrought words do not despise

and so for now..my limit met

a simple thought.....may this be the best year yet.
