I thought I would never see this place again, the journey here looked so different than before. So bright, the sun so warm and friendly. I could hear the birds, they sounded closer than before. The breeze gently blowing the hair from my face. It was all so reassuring and peaceful. Then I took a wrong turn somewhere, and I am confused as to how i ended up here again. To this old familiar place. I recognize it, although it looks different-yet the same. It's a little overgrown, there are no birds singing here, it's ghostly quiet. A cold breeze blows and I try to block myself from the chill, but it still goes through me. No one here to keep me warm, it's been long since abandoned and lonely. Just like I remember it. So different-yet the same. I thought I would never see this place again. |
