I skipped lunch and had a little dinner I was preoccupied with my drum-pounding hunger until it struck me as weird that I should feel emptiness when there was no intake inside my stomach Is emptiness the presence or absence of an entity then? and How is THAT entity defined as? Hunger comes in many forms..is it a bodily function or a spiritual emptiness? A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

You've stumped me Faterider, but then I haven't eaten for awhile either. This was almost a riddle. Joyce |

I think I came across another form of this 'riddle' before. Is darkness the 'presence of dark' or the 'absence of light'?? And coldness too... Well, I might be simple minded, but I seem to think it describes an absence. We feel hungry when there's absence of food replenishment. So, when there's no intake, there'll be an 'emptiness'. Even spiritually empty, it's coz of absence of something... Well, that's my thoughts on your topic. =) |
