Longer Lives My grandpa died at twnty-six From illness, his doc couldn't fix. His children's lives were much longer. By then the pills were much stronger. Do you think it might be true Hannah could live to two 0 two? There's soon to be a get-well pill For everything that makes her ill. If all my ailments have a cure, I'll live a long life that's for sure. I'm worried and it isn't funny, I'll live longer than my money. By: Joyce 01/20/03 |

Well, Joyce, you've given me a smile and a chuckle with this one! Ellie A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

Joyce, Although I am sure you meant this to be a silly poem, I can also see some seriousness in this in the rising cost of healthcare as Americans grow older and older. I enjoyed this poem very much. Dawn |

You are right Dawn, it is a serious problem. Thank goodness, I don't have to worry abut any expensive medicines but I know some who do and have to make choices whether to buy medicine or food. Joyce |

I'm going to try to make sure... to spend wisely; yet live long, and to not be a burden to anyone. It's a trick... but it can be done. |
