My Source In every line of verse I write, I put a little share of me. I can't describe what I don't know, Cannot perceive what I can't see. A poet writes of which he's read, A little bit of what he's heard, A crumb or two of what he's seen And of himself in every word. I have a long lifetime to delve For thoughts to put into my rhyme. It's so really true about writing poetry - there's really more of yourself into it, than say, writing novels.*ughh" But one thing for me, I've never written rhymes - just learning to write, but all in free verse. This is a good poetry site, not only do I enjoy reading the poems, I'm going to learn more how to write one. Thanks. |
