sitting by the window,
watching time go by.
golden fades to raven,
streaks across the sky.
day waves a glowing 'bye',
night is saying 'hi'.

the velvet blanket is,
dark as midnightblues (teehee).
the twinkling sparkling stars,
shine their cheerful hues.
the silence of the night,
coaxe away my blues.

such peaceful solitude,
work of mighty God.
