November’s chill bites deeply now the days seems very dim somehow The memories of that precious love embrace the heart with velvet glove There was a time when joy was here the future bright the moments dear Too few it seems in the mind’s eye too fast to soon the light did die Oh fair September your song is lost grey ash remains to mark the cost this journey that is near despair that wounds the soul beyond repair finds comfort in the journey’s end a whispered prayer the heart to mend Look kindly then upon this loss lift gently now this leaden cross Renew that fire so long now cold that dreamers’ dream again to hold yet if this wish cannot be done then join the souls again as one the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

Ah, Peg, your poems flow ever gently on my heart...but this too shall pass and hope is ever present in the heart, we can only hope tis true... A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |
