We Dare To Dream The storm that lashed the night is gone. Now, only ragged clouds stay on. I watch them slowly trail away And see the faintest hint of day And in the silence then, there came Some great, gray owls who called my name And flew around on sighing wings. They told me many wondrous things! So, now I know why ravens call. Why clouds can float and water fall. Why thunder crashes, cyclones roar. All this they told and so much more. Why tides rush in and then rush out And what old Stonehenge is about. So many mysteries laid bare, But in the large assortment there, No answers lay to tell me why We dare to dream. We say good-bye! Joyce: I wish I could talk to the owls. I'm sure they would have a lot to say, if they could! Thanks. Betty Lou Hebert |
