![]() The steps that led to HOME seem now to crumble No red carpet leading to desired place The faces of the world once mouthless mumble loud accusations of the Past Without A Trace And all the words and all king's men no longer building any dreams that once had led me to some shore now are the walls, some frail and broken, some unyielding, some long forgotten, some now forsaken never more... 8/29/95 See how you too can help the homeless on this terrific web site: http://www.readio.com/business/about.html [This message has been edited by Street Heart (11-08-2002 11:51 AM).] |

StreetHeart~ Strange how one person's cardboard box is sometimes their castle~ You write from the heart of one who has been there~ Bless you my friend~ I pray you continue to reach out so that others may come to know compassion for those who often cannot help being where they are~ ![]() *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Street Heart, Your compassion and advocacy for the disenfranchised in society touches me deeply. I have visited the site you suggested as well as the other sites listed there. Homelessness is a situation most of us could easily fall into if we lost our jobs, health coverage, and/or family support systems. While not one of us can solve the problem, we each can indeed do something. I would encourage everyone to check out the sites and find out more about the local agencies that provide help. Perhaps you could also post some links in the Announcement Forum as well to reach more folks. You could also consider posting additional poems with links (as long as they are different poems than what you have already posted here, as cross posting is discouraged)in the other poetry forums here at Passions to reach a wider audience (as long as you still post in the Pub,as I wouldn't want to lose you from here!) God bless you, Street Heart and thank you! |
