The diamond template of unholy doom Lay long inside the empty tomb As invaders came and vanquished fled The only companions were the dead Through ages dark as a killer's heart The template lay stone cold, inert And then the day a deadly mist Crept 'neath the door and template kiss'd A silver warmth now stirred it's breast Colours flashed and fires hissed Long hours fled soft as silken shroud As evil woke and screamed aloud A curse to make the mighty quail And cause the greatest will to fail A vow of revenge to ancient ways To bring to ruin his enemies And gather each bloody morsel here So ALL would know the taste of fear And from a dark and clammy tomb To stoke a fire, ignite a womb! For this the scheme of blackest morn To see a Moonchild here be born This chamber dark that once was lair To Cuthulu, beast beyond compare Behind the table stands a door And writ upon the template, lore! To open up a timeless place Where long was hidden that awful face That comes once more by fateful doom An ice-cold horror in coal-black womb Now watch his evil wings unfurl And curses from his lips do hurl At enemies in all foreign lands Who wrought him wrong and stayed his hands No more bounded by their puny rules He hungers for their blood and drools In each fiery eye a hatred burns so bleak Like the Bush of old he gives a squeak!!! |

Hi Geoff, I'm reading Lord of the Rings again at the moment and had just finished reading a song by Gimli in my lunch break. That was where the general feel came from though I darkened things A LOT! As many in the Sixties mistakenly read Lord of the Rings as having a hidden reference to the Vietnam war I thought I'd play about and poke a bit of fun at poor old George W. Thanks for reading. I appreciate it. [This message has been edited by allan (11-01-2002 02:52 PM).] |

An apt poem for the season. There is evil aplenty out there but I'm not sure it is George. Joyce |

There's a saying about if a person had a brain he'd be dangerous. Bush doesn't have any grey matter to speak and he may not be evil, but boy is he DANGEROUS. Feeding the Military Industrial Complex? Being in bed with big business No to Kyoto? Not knowing his Ass from his Elbow? Need I say more? :P [This message has been edited by allan (11-01-2002 04:12 PM).] |

Hey,Allan, you're a LOTR fan too, huh?I just finished reading all 3 books again for my second time about 6 months ago.Seems just like yesterday, actually. Not a big G.W. fan? What a surprise (note the sarcasm)!I am not very politically-minded,but I did like Al a lot for a number of reasons.Even so,it does always seem to come down to trying to choose the lesser "evil",doesn't it?.Just glad I don't live in Iraq! Peace,Geoff |
