I’m so mad at Mama, I know just what I’ll do, I’ll kick my feet And hold my breath Until my face turns blue. Sometimes I wear her lipstick, Or dress up in her clothes, Today I couldn’t even paint Her polish on my toes! She yelled at me, “Don’t slam that door! And pick up all your toys! Today she had a headache And didn’t like the noise. I’m so mad at mama, I just don’t think it’s fair, She made me take a bath today And even washed my hair! Then I had to go outside, I couldn’t watch TV, She says it isn’t healthy For a little girl like me. I told her I was feeling sick And then I started sneezing, Today she only smiled at me, She knew that I was teasing! At lunch, I spilled my milk, And smeared jelly on the floor, I had to clean it up myself Before I could have more! I might hide in the closet, Or underneath my bed, Or pack up all my favorite stuff And run away instead! But here comes mama now, To tuck me in so tight, She wraps her arms around me And kisses me goodnight I really love my mama, Although she makes me mad, I know she loves me very much… I guess that’s not so bad! |

I enjoyed your story. If grownups can get mad, then children have a right, too (within reason). But, even if you have to discipline them, they still love ya. And yes, This will hurt me more than it hurts you, is so true. Melton |
