//this poem is for all who have kindly accept me as a family here and often read my poems and give replies. This poem is for everybody. One day at breakfest, You found a girl with biscuit face and biscuit heart. You picked up all scrap papers From the floor written by the child To read and feel for the girl. Nicely, you offered a hand to her shoulder; The tiny girl looked up with hands reaching yours. "Here is a biscuit my Mom made," the girl said. There are lots of things she has not learnt But still She has yet lots of years to come. "And I know I am safe here and eat biscuit with you," says the girl. Eliza Simmons |
