Song of the Polar Sea Come with me to the Polar Sea, Where the ice wind's blowing Gem crystals high, against the sky And a pale sun's glowing. Hold me tight in the Polar night, In the earth's far reaches. The land bleached white with Arctic light And the great whale breaches. Ice caverns green and never seen, Where the dark sea's rolling. The sounds you hear are crisp and clear, Like a cold bell, tolling. Come, if you dare, to hunt the bear Where the sea-ice grinding, Hides the beat of his furry feet And the light is blinding! Would love endure in air so pure, The wind a biting knife, Or would it quail and finally fail In man's fierce quest for life? This is wonderful Trillium. You have such a broad grasp of the wonders of nature and geographical treasures. And can describe them so we see them. Joyce |

I enjoyed this piece and I have to say that I like the way you are able to write about things outside of personal emotion, I have trouble with that. |

CHILI: Thanks for your kind remarks. I write more about nature, etc. than about personal emotions. The world needs both! Betty Lou Hebert |

Your imaginary and analogy is so great! I need to learn from you. I just know the wind, the sky, the flower, the sea and nothing more. I need to get out and feel the nature. Eliza Simmons |

Eliza: Thank you for all your kind words. I have actually learned a lot about nature from reading although I do get out into the countryside and explore whenever I can. I live in the country too, so much of what I write about is right at my doorstep. Betty Lou Hebert |
