My Love When I think of you, my darling, I am still that wide-eyed girl Who held the whole world in her hands As her heart was set awhirl. Without a thought or intuition Of how short a life can be, We promised 'til death do us part, With a sweet expectancy. God gave us such a little time To wrap up our every dream. The plans we made were not to be All included in His scheme. It's not my place to question God, I knew from the very start; But I cannot help but wonder Why our world was torn apart. You'll be the same, my darling boy, When we're allowed to meet. But you won't recognize the girl Who had made your life complete. It has been another lifetime Since you had to leave me here. My steps have slowed, my hair has greyed And my eyes are not so clear. Yes, the years have surely changed me Since the day we had to part. To make sure you recognize me, I'll be carrying my heart. Joyce dear, your tribute to the lost love of your life has touched me deeply.what greater gift can one receive than a glimse of the soul of a friend. bless you. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

Joyce~ There is such a beautifully tender sadness in this heartfelt write~ 'It has been another lifetime Since you had to leave me here. My steps have slowed, my hair has greyed And my eyes are not so clear. Yes, the years have surely changed me Since the day we had to part. To make sure you recognize me, I'll be carrying my heart.' I believe this may well be among my favorite pieces of yours~ Thank you for sharing a piece of your heart~ *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

What can I say,Joyce. You wrote from your Heart...and mine heard every word.I would not add nor subtract a single letter. But I hold a profound dream...I picture that day when this crazy world is left far behind... when you...and I...are once again reunited with whom made our Hearts beat. A fellow searcher, another soul on the other side of the world whose Heart also aches... here with you,Joyce...Peace to you,Geoffrey |
