One hazy day in summer, the garden received a gift of her gossamer loveliness. Gardens crowning glory was she... Swallowtail of black and yellow, she filled my heart with wonder. Every day she came. until week upon week, she became my hearts delight. Then one day I found her, lying still and lifeless. Sad for a while, yet profoundly grateful, for I knew the joy she gave would live forever in my heart. A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

the death of beauty is a sad thing but the memories keep it alive forever. this is touching Ellie. the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost |

The most beautiful things are apt to leave too soon. Maybe they are too precious for this world. I love your poem. Joyce |

Touching to say the least any loss is a loss to much and of nature it is only doubly so for they loose so much. Well I should stop rambling and say what I wanted to say. I enjoyed your poem. Thank you. |
