Old San Francisco is grieving today As thick misty billows hang over the bay Sea lions look blindly to the tips of their nose On the streets of confusion, anything goes A sunbeam has yet to deliver some light No stars will be out in the heavens tonight As for me, I can’t see what’s ahead of me now For my loneliness blocks out the sunlight somehow Old San Francisco is grieving today For some reason you had to go far away This city will never be quite the same But the hills in the mist will still echo your name Elizabeth Santos |

Oh Elizabeth...I know SF, and I will send Sun, soon, I promise... Sunny ~~~Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. Helen Keller ~~~ When you want to be loved, look within...KRJ |

I lost my heart in San Fransisco. Great imagery Elizabeth. A snapshot of the moment. jamie Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito. - Virgil. "Yield thou not to adversity, but press on the more bravely". |

Oh, how I loved San Francisco...I lived there while in college--a sparkle city, with fog creeping across the golden gate bridge and so much freedom. But that was then...it seems you saw a sadder version...wonderful poem, Liz! [This message has been edited by Martie (edited 06-29-2000).] |
