A childs laughter fills the room makes me forget all my worries for just a moment I look into his innocent eyes I hear his plea brings me out of my reverie "I am thirsty please" Nothing else matters to him Not time Not lonliness Not money Nor bills this child so sweet so full of thrills he gulps down his water he's off again playing his games of makebelieves and pretend he knows not of heatrache of wars or desease he only knows there's a magic word we told him it is "please" this word can make all things possible for him look what it did for Tiny Tim so he asks me why I'm crying I dont know what to say he dries my eyes on his sleeve and says "Come,You can play"< !signature--> Julie [This message has been edited by JulieAnn (edited 06-28-2000).] |

JulieAnn~ This is absolutely precious ! What a delight to start off the day ! Nothing like the smile of a child to brighten up the day. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

You have put the pen to an excellent piece. If only we could keep that innocence of the child with us for our entire life. Wouldn't life be grand? |
