COLOR ME, COLOR YOU In the book where my dreams reside, I've colored you the way I saw you first, and in the shades I've seen between then and now. All the colors I've ever seen sparkle and gleam on this portrait I've made... that is, everything but Green. Green I've saved for me, whom I've colored beyond the brilliance of the aura surrounding you. Envious Green, for all who share your light. Green, fading to blue, for having to live with only my thoughts, yet Golden now, for having been touched, and grateful, for having known you at all. w.james beard, jr. |
