In the winds of Cherokee song

Oh mighty pen...
help me with this verse
with words from the heart
from which I do not rehearse

So many feelings
from the depths of my soul
yearning to spill forth
all the time taking a toll

Your power is my release
from the bondage of life
when everyday happenings
cut through like the knife

Oh mighty pen...
lend me your touch
might I share with words
my life's story and such

yes...indeed ...we need to "purge"
these emotions and express our selves
thru our poetry...
where would we be without our poets pen and our muse ...
I know I would be lost.
perfect poem to honor your love and need for poetry.
well written verse.
"me" eyes enjoyed "lying" on your words much
you lay them down ... Ill take em in *smile*
take care kind poet

jm-thank you once again for your kind words and for the polite correction in the grammer arena.  You are way to sweet.

Mark, well expressed, the flow, the rhyme the way you weaved the longing to write was perfect.  I agree, I would be lost without poetry, reading it and writing it.  This is your best piece, my friend.  Keep writing for us!

Take care,

Some sing and seek release, others paint and seek release, but you, Mark, have used the pen...and very wonderfully too...

I know this feeling well, my friend. Writing is the friend that is there when all else fails and betrays.

LOL..hey Mark...
trust me when I tell you...I make WAY too
many of my own grammar mistakes to correct anyone...
I just put that in quotes so you would know
I was refering to your other reply to me--
about "laying" my eyes on your poems
but you can call me sweet anytime, anyway LOL

Sunshine--Thanks much.

LoveBug--I believe we all have this feeling at one time or another.  Thank you for your words.

Janet Marie--The correction was well received and I shall always look forward to
your kind words "your sweetness".

Now how many times have I pleaded with my pen!!!!!  I just hate it when the thoughts are in your head, but your pen won't write them!  You expressed this very well.

Paula, my dear one.  The words ARE in my head and with the inspiration I have found in the past few days they are now spilling forth.  We both know who to thank don't we?

I think so many of us here can relate to this, Mark...poetry is an expression of who we are and what we feel...you have penned it well!
