    On the Spirit Cosmos

He speaks of what he sees and hears
his universe defined by senses,
constructing theories, deducing more
he prates his views. Uncaring ears
retreat to camouflaged defenses,
where knowledge is the classic bore

for feelings have usurped the throne
of choice and smiling zen-like tones
have filtered out the middle, left
behind the highs and lows to stone
its manic comprehension clones.
Is man, Creation's best, bereft

the means to apprehend what lies
beyond the sense of sight and touch?
Can he not know the spirit realm,
a part of which he must comprise,
as well as earth adored so much?
Does he allow to overwhelm

his contemplative spirit side,
kaleidoscopic views of matter
absorbing every hour awake?
The seen and unseen must not collide,
parallel sides of reality's platter
were not designed for their own sake.

*applause*
while your postings are infrequent compared to most others, the quality of your poetry more than makes up for the wait.  Excellent poetry as always.
