Whispered secrets in the night sweet tears falling from my eyes in anticipation that this is our last night shattered dreams broken promises a past that only haunts me know Why didn't I know then What I know now? Why didn't I hold on? Why didn't I know how? the pain fills my heart scared to make this new start without you without you by my side Why didn't I see? Why couldnt I believe? Why didn't I cherish you? Why was I such a fool? You gave me everything A car a brand new house... I took it all for granted ddin't see what I had... You loved me unconditionally you gave me all that I needed how could I have wanted more? So...tell me Why didn't I know then what I know now? Why didn't I hold on? Why didn't I know how? the pain fills my heart scared to make this new start without you without by my side..... Why didn't I see? wWhy couldn't I believe? Why didn't I cherish you? Julie this is so sad but so well expressed we all wish we had hindsight and could take back our mistakes... hopefully we can learn from them and move on with out all the regret and always we have our writing to help heal us. take care, jm |
