The Most Powerful force The mighty forces of the earth Bring havoc to the inner soul Wrought by the one almighty God A valid part of nature's whole The power of God is etched in leaves In honeysuckle's nectar dew But also in the force of earth's Most horrible Volcano spew Treacherous forces shake the earth Cause giant waves to crash the shore And spin a wind as mighty as The churning of the molten core The power of the water falling From the cliff on mountain's breast The undertows and currents And the fear that causes man's unrest But mightier yet than all the wondrous God - made forces here on earth Is mother's love for her own child Cradling his heart from hour of birth Elizabeth Santos |

A tribute to my mother and motherhood is due from me soon... Death, be not proud, though some have called thee, Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so; - John Donne |

Dear Liz, Oh, I love this piece! You've beautifully weaved "God's forces", including a Mother's love as equal. I agree and your poem leaves me in awe of your work and God's power. |

Liz, this is a beautiful piece. Yes, a mother's love is just as strong as God's forces. "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." -Oscar Wilde "The robbed that smiles steals something from the thief" -Shakespea |

A beautifully written poem. I would be remiss however it I did not state for the record..." A mothers love is one of God's Forces.....lol Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito. - Virgil. "Yield thou not to adversity, but press on the more bravely". |

Thank you for your comments. Promethius, this poem was meant to say exactly that, that of all God's forces, a mother's love is the strongest, Thank you Liz |
