In  Due  Time
~~~
When tomorrows' reckoning
draws a bite
and contemplation concedes to fear
Most expectations
fade their light
as echoes flash from yesteryear
~
Aspersion paid
to good advice
proceeds to mock all sacrifice
Return  of  futures  past
you see
invades your  pride  and  revelry
What  goes  around
comes  back
to be ...
In  due  time
~~~

I'll try this again, I lost my connection to the internet the last time I replied to it and it didn't 'take'. Great poem, Rex! We certainly do reap what we sow, no getting away from that!

Thanks Denise
I know what you mean about a bad connection ... I've been having major troubles with mine the past few weeks ... today the whole city was down for the count till about 8:30
at night ... All the rain we've been having
is doing weird things to the underground cables I guess

Rex,
In a few brilliant words, you have summarised what most people never manage to understand in the whole life...

Thanks for sharing this wonderful piece of your thoughts...

regards, sudhir

Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;

thankyou sudhir ... I was sort of hoping that it may bring a clearer understanding to good advice given to those about to embark on a venture that has been embarked upon countless times before ... many ... understand nothing but their own way
But that's fine ...
we can also learn through failure

Rex, I love the timeless feel to your words here. Very wisely put and very creatively crafted, my friend.

Claire ... thankyou ... your kind words mean a lot to me

Nan ... I read "Percipience" ... needed to look up a couple points but yes you're right there is a similarity ... they merely approach from a different perspective

Balladeer ... not too many messages could surprise the experience I'm sure you possess
Thanks for your kind reply
