You’re on the right track Keep holding your head high Dreams are becoming yours Reach and touch the sky River of life Can be dangerous and full of chance Don’t go in the deeper waters Be safer just to glance Watch behind your back Protect the one you love You’re going to need each other now More than you ever dreamed of Treacherous territory But there is much to gain There is no going back Things never to be the same Reach your hand out to her She will hold on tight And together you will walk out of darkness Into the bright sweetness of light Tides of water flowing in and out But believe in yourself Don’t get carried away by illusions And never give into self-doubt In your heart and soul Lies the truth and what is real Do not deny who you are Your thoughts or how you feel Believe in her as she believes in you This isn’t wrong…but tread with care Patience you need more of Let yourself fall completely, that’s if you dare The end will be so sweet Watch and you shall see That the truth was always with you And this is meant to be "Don't be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is before you can meet again. And meeting again after a moment or a lifetime is certain for those who are friends." How about The Bright Sweetness of Light? I liked your use of that phrase and it could be fitting for a title. Elizabeth I'm grabbing my hat and coat I'm leaving the cat a note Quick call me a ferry boat-getting out of town! |

it seems i am reading alot of poetry these days that i can relate to and this really touched me and made me think....Thank you for this post...Great writing...as for a title.....I agree it would be great!!!  Julie :) |

Amy a wonderful poem. How about "Aspirations". Beautifully written and filled with hope.
