~ Hold me Please~ by poetFemmeFatale I always try to be so strong - but in your arms tonight - I do belong. Would you hold me tight & sing to me, Rock me gently & so tenderly? As I breathe you in, you stroke my hair A soothing peace is everywhere... Within your arms it all seems right Can I close my eyes, stay here tonight? If you'll just hold me a little while Let me drift off there, into your smile - Somehow I think that's it's okay To let you hold me close, here in this way. It feels so good to not be strong You chase away all that is wrong - You softly kiss away my tears, Your laughter helps me through my fears. I breathe you in and softly ~sigh~ Your whispers, like a lullaby... You kiss my eyes and stroke my hair, I know I'm safe here in your stare. Gently now, I go to sleep Knowing that my soul, you'll keep... Wrapped tightly in your arms tonight This feels okay, this feels alright. Yeah, I know. This is sickenenly vulnerable of me...*sigh* A first time for everything.....  Anyone with good aim want to put me out of my misery? LOL Just KIDDING, everyone put the guns down! This was very nice PoetFemme... reminds me of one of the best times of day...just as we are falling asleep in each others' arms....of COURSE it's OK....enjoy it!! Love is like the measles.....the older you are, the harder it hits you! |

I think it would be okay. All are vulnerable in some way or another, you have a very smooth flowing way of expressing the intimacy of the time and place. Very very good! |

I LOVE this poem. I feel like you looked in my heart and saw my greatest desire. A soft, safe place to fall. I know where mine is...just can't get to it. Or at least I shouldn't. I know that I have told you this before. But your writing is amazing. |
