Infidelity

We sit beside each other,
Yet a thousand miles away,
Eyes burning with desire,
For the things we dare not say,
We smile so damn politely,
When we're screaming out inside,
Those painful awful truths that we all hide.

They say the worlds our oyster,
But we're caught inside a shell,
There are no pearls of wisdom,
Knowing honesty is hell,
We laugh at our misfortunes,
And let conscience be our guide,
With those painful awful truths that we all hide.

"They say the worlds our oyster,
But we're caught inside a shell,"

A striking message here...do keep writing!

Is this the "unfaithful" night?? LOL I'm kidding of course, but between INFIDELITY and LUST I was just starting to wonder....

This is good work...I like it very much!

"for the things we dare not say,
we smile so damn polietly"

my favorite line...love that!

Thank you everyone, especially J.M. for bringing back an "oldie ". I'm still coming to terms with poetry and its alot different to music and even lyrics, but I'm learning more from you every day and my thanks goes out to all of you.

Regards
Olias
