Forever Ancient mountains sheltered in snow, Surrounded by the clouds below, Send waters down through greenery, Descending to the green gray sea. Above the mountains blows the sky, Making rain and snow to fly, Filtering blues of hue on hue, Ever changing new to new. Time is layered in the rock, In silent strata like a clock, The handles move in rust and dust, They rise and fall within the crust. Enigma and a doubting endure, Fragments the entire allure. The wealth is there; I see the sign, We are the gold within the mine. A sphinx within a paradox, As I thoughtfully change my sox. |

I truly believe some of the greatest poetry ever written was concieved while the poet was changing his socks, and this is a great one. Now I know why everyone missed you so much. There's only one Sy. Love Liz |

grin grin good to see you again dear Sy... and as you usual you don't disappoint... here's the bit that got me: Enigma and a doubting endure, Fragments the entire allure. The wealth is there; I see the sign, We are the gold within the mine Just blooming wonderful... K |

But you know, your Sox really have to "want" to change... Loved this, classic you, Seymour... ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Really good word pictures. I like the twist at the end. A sphinx within a paradox. Now there's a mind twister. But are you moving from red sox to white sox or vice versa. Thoughtfully that is....... |
