Safari into you I took a safari in your jungle eyes. Oh! The things I encountered: I felt the tribal beating of drums Within our quickening heartbeats Heard the mating call of all wild things, Felt the steam rising as Heat enveloped me. I breathed the luscious aroma of the rain forest. My body responded to the hedonistic delight That tempted my senses— Moving rhythmically to nature’s symphony. And then I saw it— The dangers of loving you. Pitfalls loomed ahead Camouflaged in the flora Dark spaces that played in the shadows And threatened to swallow me whole. I closed my eyes and escaped the jungle. |

Thanks, Walt. It matters not how strait the gate; How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. --W.E. Henley |
