"  Changing of a Day  "

I look outside, Through window
Gray bleakness, Blankets the day
Storm clouds roll, across the sky
Thunder sounds, clashing loudly
In distance lightning cracks
On the ground rain drops pound
Giving of a wonderous smell
That soothing sound as they fall
Faraway the blue sky is torn
Drying the path, shining warmth
Opening flowers , giving them life
Birds now flying, fluttering wet feathers dry
A lovely newness to a day once so black
The Dark clouds have passed
The thunder now distantly sounding
Lightning non existant, gone
Sunshine coming forth, warming my face
Through window , once cold and gray
Amazed are my eyes
How quickly a day can change
