I wrote this about a friend of mine, who's boyfriend has been diagnosed with cancer. If you want to know more, read my post in announcements. Thank you.

We’ve had our share of problems
Nonetheless, I love you still
I can’t be believe I felt the things
That you made me feel

But perfection doesn’t exist
And I’ve been stricken down
It’s like I’m being punished
For the love I’ve found

My body is so much weaker
But my love is just as strong
My heart breaks because I know
We won’t be together for long

I pray for some kind of miracle
But now I’m starting to see
The greatest kind of miracle
Has happed to you and me

And when you feel alone and scared
I’ll come and hold you tight
Like I always have before
I’ll protect you from the night

When I have to let you go
With a final gentle sigh
Don’t despair, because you know
That love can never die

This is so beautiful and you have given a miracle of your own to them and I am sure it
will not be missed in their hearts.  Wonderful......just wonderful you are.

Erica, this is so moving...I am near tears.  This is such a tragic situation and I feel deeply for your friend and her boyfriend.  Gorgeous and sorrowful piece, a lovely tribute indeed.

Thank you all for your replies. They mean a lot, and I'm so glad that you all care so much. I'm still thinking about giving it to them, but it might make them sad, when we are all working so hard to make them optimistic. Again, thanks.
