If you look into the sky
and fail to see the blue,
When you only see the clouds
and not the sun shining through.

If you ever hear a robin
sing its morning song
and you do not feel the urge
to arise and sing along.

If you no longer see the beauty
all around you in the trees,
and you are blind to the colors
of the many falling leaves.

If you've not walked upon the shore
and felt the sea spray in your face,
When you can look upon a rainbow
without your heart beginning to race.

If you have never spied upon a child
when they think no one can see,
and you've never paused to observe
the flight of a bumble bee.

If you've never had a garden
and watched the flowers grow,
or you've never caught a fire fly
and in the darkness watched in glow.

If the wonder of a snow storm
simply leaves you cold.
When you lose joy in the simple things,
you have truly gotten old.

LOL  Well, my point was that if you have done all of these things and still continue to do them...you will never be old.  So you are absolutely safe my friend!!

This is so true, Angel. Seeing things and noticing them are two different things. When the beautiful things in life hold no more pleasure then you are definitely too old....hope i never happens to me~!

Well said Angel!!!

You have captured this well. . . we have to notice the small things. . . the things that make life worth living. . . to keep ourselves young, and young at heart. . .

Excellent poem my friend. . .
