Magic Genie's Wish |

If I found a magic genie In a lamp along the sea. The wishes that would come to mind Would be wishes of a different kind. Perhaps to put a smile on someone's saddened face. Or watch over the homeless, and keep them always safe. When someone's faith is wearing thin, To reach out and help them back again. To bring light to a child afraid of the dark. To give hope to the one with a broken heart. To recognize the lover's dreams Or resurrect forgotten scenes. To always have rainbows brighten the skies. Stop the flow of teardrops from elderly eyes. To reunite loved ones that have been lost. Bring together the different paths they have crossed. To help someone who is in need. And soften the heart filled with greed. To rectify a wrong and make it once again right. I'd give my wish freely to someone in need tonight. |

What a beautiful, heartfelt poem! If only more people in the world felt like this... Thanks for sharing and restoring some faith in mankind. |

Lovely sentiments, your heart shows through. A "magic genie", if only it were that easy! God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me. ~Unknown |

Thank you sonjes. I think many do, but just don't follow through. EagleOne, thank you for the compliment. If only.... |
