It is amazing that we two found each other
All the miles and years leading up to that day
Then, just as now, we both have the same need
To love and be loved in a life-changing way

To share every part of our most intimate selves
Able to speak our minds and show how we feel
Without any fear of being judged or rejected
To share our fantasies and make them all real

Physical bodies alone can never achieve this
Heart, mind and soul are an absolute must
This is the truth we have discovered together
When two souls are one there is absolute trust
And a willingness to love with all of our being
How it was, how it is, how it ever shall be
I wish I could give you heaven on earth
But all I can promise, you have all of me

I am not rich and I'll never be famous
I'm not 'God's gift to women' it's true
I am no saint and I know I'm not perfect
But all that I am, I give just to you

Ours is a love that will last a lifetime
And the reason that I can be so sure
Every day that I wake up next to you
I am happier than the day before...

Created with emotion, imagination and thought
Read my words you will know my heart
Look in my eyes you can see my soul

oh man ...*SIGH*

your just so good at this devotion stuff, ya know?
this is SO sweet, and perfect...
in one poem you say near every emotion a woman hopes to hear ...
wonderful expressions of the gifts that come
when true soul-mates find each other.
very nice poet sir ...very

Now for me some words come easy
But I know that they don't mean that much
Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch
You never knew what I loved in you
I don't know what you loved in me
Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be

Awake again I can't pretend
And I know I'm alone
And close to the end
Of the feeling we've known ...

How long I've been sleeping
How long have I been drifting alone through the night
How long have I been running for that morning flight
Through the whispered promises and the changing light
In the bed where we both lie
Late for the sky

so beautiful and straight from the heart,
love is truly a gift and when opened is such bliss. Your words our magic upon the ear as a sweet melody or the river flowing gently with soft waves just a the beat of a heart or two when joined causes such a rhythm that can never be heard but the feeling is way down deep . Thank you for sharing this

Wow Steve, the woman you wrote this for is indeed one lucky lady...*sigh*  It's really a beautiful thing, how things fall into place when we just stop trying to "force" things to work out.  It's when we finally sit back and relax, that Fate is finally given the chance to work her miracles in our lives.  That's how I like to look at it. I believe someone up there knows far better what's best for me than I do....Did I say how beautiful this poem is Sea?     I love it...

pFF - I believe I am the lucky one having found someone who not only evokes such feelings in me but reciprocates them. And yes "forcing" things to work does not work, sometimes the very thing we needed is right in front us but we are so preoccupied we miss it.

HEY SEA_of_OKC,
LOVE IS A SPIRIT OF ETERNAL BLISS,THAT YOU INHERIT FROM YOUR  INNER BEAUTY AND RELEASE TO THOSE WHO CAN APPRECIATE YOU FOR YOU.
I FEEL YA MAN...GO ON WITH YOUR BAD SELF.
YOUR POEM WAS TIGHT,BECAUSE YOU COULDN'T ADD TO IT AND YOU COULDN'T TAKE NOTHING FROM IT.
