Concorde down One hundred and nine lives full of hopes and dreams go down as the supersonic jet crashes to the ground. For just a few brief moments terror reigned supreme. Lives passing before fear stricken eyes in unison and then final fatal screams. Lost opportunities that could have been. Faces never to be seen again. Families and friends break down and cry. Nothing remains except a lifetime to wonder why. Was the cause of this tragic crash misfortune, malfunction, pilot error, or just plain bad luck or does the answer lie in all of the above and a moment in time when grace and favor ran amok. This day can never by erased. Lost loved one's can never by replaced. Family, friends, and lovers with no more love to share. No more smiling faces anywhere. Oh dear God as this dark day passes I beseech you please no more crashes. And now as I stop to mourn the loss of all those precious souls that died my heart only wants to weep and cry whatever happened to those friendly skies? jmlee12345, You have written a tribune to those poor souls that went down. I don't know weather to thank you, or feel the sorrow. Well done my friend, well done. |

I edited this...when I first wrote this I wanted to express the fear someone must be feeling just moments away from death...but then I decided not too...but then I decided that the fear would be very real and present and I must include it.. I could only imagine anyone experiencing the terror of an eminent plane crash...perhaps desperately trying to hold on to hope until the very end...James |
