The love you have shown Over the years has grown You have always been my rock The one in which I place stock You offer your sage advice Helping me not make the same mistake twice With your guidance I learn Which way I should turn From as far back as I can recall You were there whenever I would fall Picking me up by the hand Brushing off the dirt and sand There is nothing I wouldn't do To show the love I have for you You have always been there for me The calming force in life's stormy sea This thank you flows from my pen For being there time and again Here's what's in my heart Each and every single part ---------------------------------------------------- Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

yes..don't hesitate to share these feelings with him..I regret not saying how much I appreciated and loved mine until it was too late..although I know he knew and knows now...it still would have meant a lot to me to tell him. ~~soft sighing Maureen |

I am sure your father is proud and this will touch him deeply. As a father I can only hope that I earn this type of love and devotion from my own children. Wonderful piece. |

Such a woderful tribute! The one thing I've always regreted was not always sharing my feelings with my Father when I had the chance. I am glad that you are going to share this with him. God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me. ~Unknown |
