Following the Seabird I see all those children’s faces ripe and baring fruit crinkled now with squinting years breathing summer evenings with a sigh they took a step past the time the time that stood still and burnt me with hot truth and left me so bewildered to dream and dance to lace the night with love to suckle a baby breathing in that pure and fragile powder and I wonder now after years have passed and turned me gray how they could have grown to such a glorious time when sweet serenity for me had paused so long and waited moons and suns to draw such poison from my vision that I could finally see how life circles and dips and fills its cup and drains and time dangles a wedged foot till we are hanging over the raging and see that the current just might carry us and peace dwells in the boat oh not defined or named the one that runs the rapids and finds the calm and still looks toward the place where emergence rushes following the sea bird [This message has been edited by Martie (edited 07-27-2000).] |

Reading your poetry is as if we are allowed to gaze through a looking glass into your life... every poem a short trip into the journey of your being... |

A graceful and lovely poem, with subtle questions and lines that eloquently search for peace. Another exquisite poem, not for "the book", but for YOUR book. Beautiful, Martie |

From the balcony I sit and watch in ernest as you perform on your stage and realize that the ticket was the best dollars I could have spent. APPLAUSE, whistling, and cheer to you. |

Oh, Martie~ Just how graceful is this gifting ? I'm simply sitting here stunned with the brilliance of the view from ~Martie's Moorings~ ... 'I could finally see how life circles and dips and fills its cup and drains' Oh, how you take us back and then propel us into your very being. My applause just has to be ringing in your ears, my talented friend. I just love you. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

I figured that since the tickets were free anyway I would indulge in the encore performance. I really love this one and had to come back. |
