Another Love Note (inspired)

I remember when "I love you"
was something I could never speak
with words
but only with my eyes
and the language of my body.
It was only yesterday
when I felt your touch
upon my lips,
enter my soul
reach into my heart,
releasing me to you.
Today you scent the air around me
upon waking and while asleep
and tomorrow, tomorrow
I will say to you,
with everything I am
"I love you."

~~~~with 2nd ending....
It was only yesterday
when I felt your touch,
upon my lips,
enter my soul
reach into my heart
releasing me to you.
Today you still scent the air around me
upon waking and while asleep.
Memories are so strong
that time alone will be needed
to heal me from my hurt
of losing you
and tomorrow, tomorrow
I will say to you,
with everything I was
I loved you....
And come each new day...
the hurt will lessen...
'Til "I love you", no more
how very true
the 2 most used words in the english language
so small but so much meaning in them
And how hard it is to say them sometimes
