Never Would Have Thought When a friend introduced us All those months ago I never would have thought You would ever mean so much I sit here now today Staring at my screen Waiting to see your name As my breath catches A smile crosses my lips A flutter passes in my heart I feel my soul lighten Now that you are here Your voice caresses my ear I smile at your words I melt at your sweetness Feeling my heart soar I never thought this could be The feelings you cause I need you more and more Everyday I know you As we say our good nights I feel emptiness inside Not wanting to let you go Leaving me here alone I know that you will be back And I hold your love close I smile as I lay down to dream Knowing you will be there waiting. |
